Hello my name is Shaniqua Smith and I am 13 years old. I am in the 8th grade.
In my passage I will be writing why I am proud of my father, Charles Smith.
Dad I am proud of you because you took on the responsibility of raising me for
13 years. My real mother abandoned me as a little girl. She was never the
mother figure I needed or wanted her to be, but dad you stuck in there with me.
I am proud because you always were there when I needed you to be there. I
knew I could depend on you. I suffered with low self-esteem and you helped me
realize I am beautiful no matter what others might think of me.
I am also proud of you because you never gave up on me even when I treated
you, my family, and others in disrespect. I thank you for caring and loving me
when I did not show love back to my family in return. Dad you are that father
figure in my life, even though you are very strict. . I know many kids do not have
a father figure in their life. I realize you are very strict because you care and
want the best for me.
Dad I am writing about you because I am proud that you are my father. I respect
how you hung in there with me when I found myself getting out of hand and
acting out of my character. Daddy I do love you and I do care. I thank you for
always having my back.
To kids or parents that may read this article, I hope you have enjoyed
my tribute to my dad. Also to kids my age or younger be careful of what
you do and do not be like me and burn your bridges with the ones who
love you the most. If your parents are strict; it is only because they love
you. Be grateful because later down the line you will be proud of who
they are and will be able to look them in the eye and say I Love You....
