In my 21 years of living and I never would have thought my long desired dreams and
aspirations would to become a professional model. It all started six years ago when my
church had a fashion show. From there it was all over. At that instant I knew this was
something I wanted to pursue and occupy my time. My first big show ever was when I was 15
years old in D.C... From there I learned the ins and outs of networking. Also from that show
someone saw me in the audience and asked if I could do there show. Of course I was
excited about it and I said yes. And from that day on I learned how to network and put myself
on the modeling market. Through my journey I met great people; from other models to new
designers, to mass production accomplices. I have traveled throughout the DMV area and
took numerous trips to New York to further my dreams that were now coming true.

Although my dreams and aspirations is to become a successful super model I still believe
that one should pursue in furthering their education. Along with chasing my dreams I am a
full time sophomore attending Coppin State University as a nursing major. It may seem like a
lot, trust me it is, but whoever said becoming successful was easy. It is a mental asset that
everyone should invest in having; “a strong and positive mind set on what you want to do
and what you want to make out of your life”. Not only that but having a strong belief in our
Savior. You are closer than what you think on making it. And getting closer to your dreams if
you develop a strong truth in the Lord. If it was not for Him I do not think I would have never
known I possessed this kind of talent inside of me. I must say that I am grateful and thankful
for Him instilling such a talent in me.

Everyone is different on how they go about becoming successful, but there are three things
I think a person should always practice and remember; be persistent, have faith, and work
hard! Without those things I do not think there would have been any stability in my life’s
aspirations. Although I am not there yet I still have faith that my time is coming. Until then I
will keep pressing on and will continue to blow everyone's mind with my prowl of a runway
walk! Remember to keep God first in all that you do and you will see He will reward you with
great things! ~WES
